A summer rambling in the American West

Hey Everyone!

Just a little update here from the long and winding road. It’s August now, the sun creeping slightly lower in the sky each day on our march toward the darker half of the year. I’m trying to soak up the heat when I can, which hasn’t been difficult being much of my last month has been spent west of the Mississippi. When I was younger and lived closer to Lake Superior, I disliked hot weather. Anything over 80 degrees Fahrenheit I met with suspicion and grumpiness. In a bid for a more balanced outlook and with the help of Chloë (who loves nothing more than blistering white sunshine) I have come to accept and even love it. Back in my roofing days, you could either embrace heat or go insane, so I had bit of a passionate lesson there as well.
